How to Install an APK File on an Android Device
Step 1: Enable Installation from Unknown Sources
Before installing an APK file, you need to allow your device to install apps from unknown sources.
- Open the Settings app on your Android device.
- Navigate to Apps & notifications (or Security, depending on your device).
- Tap Special app access (or Install unknown apps).
- Select the app you will use to open the APK file (e.g., Chrome, File Manager).
- Enable Allow from this source.

Step 3: Install the APK File
- Open the File Manager app on your phone.

- Tap on the APK file.
- A prompt will appear asking if you want to install the app – tap Install.
- Wait for the installation to complete.
Step 4: Open the Installed App
- Once installed, you will see an "App installed" message.
- Tap Open to launch the app immediately, or find it on your home screen or in the app drawer.
